The Skirmish Shack has just been opened by me, the editor, owner graphics artist etc. being the only staff member. This site is intended to be the core of a general hangout for people in the Skirmish gaming world, which will in the future also include an IRC chatroom(on undernet for those of you who are quite net-literate, and want to tell people about it before its there). It will contain information (mostly related to the Airsoft world as I am an Airsofter) about upcoming events, new Airsoft Guns coming out, and articles about Airsofting in general, such as tactics guides, methods of safely storing Pyrotechnics in the field and interesting game scenarios. If you would like to write such an article please e-mail it to me in Rich Text Format (.RTF) or in Plain Text format (.TXT) at nicktunstall@softhome.net. Any other format will be rejected due to recent Microsoft Word Macro virus scares.
I will also be producing a Glossary to allow people new to the sport to read the articles and understand them without being overcome by jargon. These words will be highlighted in Bold throughout the site as on this page.
Also (hopefully in the near future) I will be starting an e-zine called The Shack. It will contain the best of the articles I recieve on a quarterly basis. If you would like to write for The Shack regularly please send me an e-mail to the above address. As above these articles could be in the form of reviews, Skirmish battle stories, advice for Airsofters, etc) And yes I hate the term e-zine but this magazine won't be coming out in hard-copy until I have the means available to do so.
